Why is there a special election?
The Treasurer is an elected constitutional office tasked with collecting revenues and managing County investments. Carla de la Pava's resignation created a vacancy before the end of her term, which otherwise would have run through December 31, 2027.
Due to a current in-term vacancy for one of the council member positions, a special election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

When/how do I vote?
Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
The last day to register to vote is Friday, October 23, 2026.
